MailAgent
Sorts and files your email automatically, across every IMAP account you use.
About
MailAgent keeps a local copy of your mailboxes, decides where each new message belongs, and files it into a consistent folder layout on your mail server. It works with any IMAP account, including Gmail and iCloud, so your mail stays organized in every app you read it with.
What it does
- Files incoming mail into a shared set of folders, using your own rules first
- Holds mail from new senders until you decide, and remembers your choices
- Marks spam and learns the senders you never want to see
- Archives older mail into folders by year
- Shows where your mail comes from and where it goes, and flags anything that looks misfiled
- Records every change before it reaches the server, and retries safely if a connection drops
Privacy
Your mail is copied to your Mac, and account passwords are stored in the macOS Keychain. Messages your rules don't cover go to the classifier you choose: a model on your own network, or OpenAI, which receives only the message details needed to pick a folder. Details may change before release, and a privacy policy section for MailAgent will be published before it ships.
Availability
