Live Analytics Widget
Your website's realtime Google Analytics 4 visitors, on your Mac desktop.
About
Live Analytics Widget shows the last 30 minutes of activity on a website or app you measure with Google Analytics 4: the same realtime data as the Realtime report on analytics.google.com. Keep it on your desktop during a launch, a campaign, or an event, and see visitors arrive without opening a browser tab.
What it does
- Shows page views and visitors for the last 30 minutes, with a per-minute visitor chart
- Lists the top pages, the top location, and the mix of desktop and mobile visitors
- Highlights the visitor count for a minute whenever it changes
- Comes as a small window that stays on your desktop and as a macOS desktop widget in small, medium, and large sizes
- Refreshes on its own, stays within Google's realtime request limits, and can pause updates
- Opens your property's full Realtime report in one click
Privacy
Live Analytics Widget only reads data: it asks Google for read-only Analytics access and never changes your property. It talks only to Google's sign-in, token, and Analytics Data services, and includes no analytics or tracking of its own. Your Google sign-in is stored in the macOS Keychain. Details may change before release, and a privacy policy section for Live Analytics Widget will be published before it ships.
User manual
Live Analytics Widget user manual (PDF): use cases, Google setup, every feature, and screenshots of the current build. All manuals are on the documentation page.
Availability
Live Analytics Widget is in development and not yet available. The current build needs your own Google Cloud sign-in client; the released app won't. To hear when it's ready, email [email protected].
