Terms of service
These terms cover your use of Endogen LLC apps and this website. They're short, and they don't take anything away from your rights under Apple's license terms or the law.

Who we are
Endogen LLC is a Virginia limited liability company in Leesburg, Virginia ("Endogen", "we"). Our apps are HalfStep, SongWorkbench, RadarDisplay, Odometer Pace, VibraScope, Organism, MailAgent, and any other app we publish that links to these terms.
Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using an Endogen app, or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Apps from the App Store
If you get an app from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) is your license to use it, and these terms add to it. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA wins. You also agree that:
- These terms are between you and Endogen LLC, not Apple. Endogen, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Endogen, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If anyone claims the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, Endogen, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.
- You aren't located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you aren't on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.
Organism for Darkglass Anagram is licensed through the Anagram Marketplace, and that marketplace's terms apply alongside these.
Purchases
Paid apps, subscriptions, and in-app purchases are sold and billed by Apple (or the marketplace you bought from), under its terms. Refunds are handled by Apple or that marketplace.
Your use of the apps
Use the apps lawfully and don't reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute them except as the law or the applicable license allows. What you create with the apps (recordings, measurements, notes, exports) is yours.
Third-party services
Some apps use data or services from others, such as weather, radar, and earthquake data from NOAA, the National Weather Service, USGS, and NASA in RadarDisplay; a Rivian account you connect in Odometer Pace; and a mail account or AI model you choose in MailAgent. Those services have their own terms, can change or stop without notice, and aren't controlled by Endogen. Endogen isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them. Product and company names belong to their owners.
Not for safety-critical decisions
The apps are tools for information and creative work. Don't rely on them for safety-critical decisions. For example, RadarDisplay isn't an official source of weather warnings: follow the National Weather Service and local authorities. Odometer Pace estimates aren't a substitute for your vehicle's own readings. VibraScope measurements aren't certified for any purpose.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the apps and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that they'll be error-free or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Endogen LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the apps or this website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app involved in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they might not apply to you.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what the apps do with data. In short: Endogen LLC collects none.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts serving Loudoun County, Virginia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll update this page and its effective date. Continuing to use an app after a change means you accept the new terms.
